              If you could imagine yourself living life as a prehistoric creature, which one would you be? Dinosaur Battlegrounds restores the ancient world with stunning 3D graphics, filling it with the many dinosaurs and other extinct creatures that called this long-lost world home.  We aim to truly reconstruct the ecosystem, letting you experience and observe the truth about these amazing creatures and how they lived.  A simulation that is part survival game, part action-adventure, set in a dynamic, sandbox-style world where everything has a purpose and can be interacted with. Gameplay will reflect the actual biology of the organisms - the more knowledge you have about the prehistoric world, the more well-equipped you will be. 

           The artwork that goes into Dinosaur Battlegrounds is checked and approved by real paleontologists, ensuring a  level and commitment to accurate science to provide a true look into the world of the Mesozoic. Take control of your chosen animal, or sit back and watch the many creatures within the world as their own stories unfold. Fight, survive, and learn along with us. as we continue to further our understanding of lost ecosystems and the organisms that lived there.

 

          A project of this importance and magnitude has never been attempted before. We are committed to bringing together the sharpest minds throughout the scientific and gaming communities, to create a simulation that will change both the scientific field and the gaming community. This union is the first of its kind, as it provides a useful tool for paleontologists, and a fun experience for gamers.

• Play as a prehistoric creature: Step into the claws of both your favorite prehistoric animals and ones you may have never heard of before. Experience their lives from birth to death as you try to survive in the Mesozoic world. Different species will have unique playstyles reflecting their distinct anatomy and ecology.

• A Living World: Explore a huge, open world that is constantly changing, featuring day and night cycles, seasons with dynamic weather, and natural disasters. Life around you is continuously shifting as well, with both plants and animals living their own live histories. Interact with almost everything, learning what’s safe to eat and what’s not, and how to hunt your prey, . The world itself is a living organism that you must overcome and master before your own survival is assured. 

• Accurate Behavior: Interact with other creatures by engaging in behaviors based on our current knowledge of paleontology. Communicate with other dinosaurs using both vocalizations and body language to display your intent, whether it is friendly or otherwise. An unprecedented AI, never before seen in gaming designed to truly explore the realities of prehistoric life and provide scientists tools to test hypotheses. 

• Multiplayer: Living as a dinosaur by yourself is great, but it’s even better with friends. Hunt together as a pack or hunt down each other as predator and prey. Control areas and breed your own hierarchy-driven NPC family groups, packs, and herds and battle for territory and their corresponding hunting rights. Compete for dominance, food, and mates.

• Regular Updates: Our initial release will feature the Hell Creek Formation of late Cretaceous (Maastrichtian) North America, featuring such famous dinosaurs as Tyrannosaurus and Triceratops. However, we plan to expand in the future, with possible new fossil formations, bringing with them their own unique environments to explore and new species to experience. With support from our fans, anything is possible!

While we are still in early stages of development, we have already established an enthusiastic fanbase in both the gaming and scientific communities.  We are currently working towards a demo, and will continue to build up our content and community from there. While the early stages will feature a smaller fraction of the total Hell Creek floral and faunal diversity, we will continue to add new species until the entire formation has been fleshed out.
